Martha Washington's Choice cotton throws, bedspreads and coverlets are still manufactured at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine, all in one hundred percent cotton.

Martha Washington's Choice (also remembered as George Washington's Choice) continutes to be one of the most popular luxury hobnail (candlewick) type designs. This vintage woven candlewick design is available with string fringe or pom-pom fringe in either white or antique colors. New colors may be offered this summer for a limited time.

The original of this popular vintage design was chosen by George Washington for his new bride. Although the original weave, older than Christianity, was lost when textile machinery replaced skilled weavers Bates Fabrics had recaptured this weaving art and former employees continue this tradition at Maine Heritage Weavers in Lewiston, Maine.

Coverlets and throws are available with pom-pom fringe or luxurious string fringe. They are easy to care for and machine washable and will not shrink more than 3 percent due to the high quality of yarn used in manufacturing.

Free fabric swatches are offered to their customers. Maine Heritage Weavers also manufactures luxurious , , bedspreads, shams and blankets at their manufacturing plant in Lewiston, Maine on similar looms used by Bates over a hundred years ago.  Quality USA made bedspreads are more popular than ever.
