The Bates Mill Store has been selling vintage throws, bedspreads, coverlets and blankets for over 50 years in both candlewick/terry loop and matelasse constructions. All are first quality wovens of the highest quality cotton available.
Boston Industrialist Benjamin Bates formed Bates Manufacturing, a textile mill in Lewiston, Maine, in 1850. The company, in various forms and under various owners, would continue to do business for almost 150 years, developing a national reputation for its luxurious vintage bedspreads, blankets and other stylish bedding.
Although the textile industry in America has changed over the years, we continue to be the factory direct supplier of Bates style and quality bedspreads, coverlets, throws and pillow shams.
